My Mum can't sleep. Will hypnotherapy abet?

She wants to avoid drugs and feel like she is basically existing - she is in Kent - any recommendation? My Mum can't sleep. Will hypnotherapy abet?
I don't know about hypnotherapy, however, I do know of some appropriate supplements that help.
5-HTP(50-100mg @ bedtime)
Melatonin (1-5 mg 1 hour previously bed)
Calcium/Magnesium/D in gooey form is really helpful.
Kava Kava and Valerian are relaxing herb.
DON'T TAKE ALL OF THE ABOVE AT ONCE!!
NOTE* Magnesium/Calcium can be taken w/ any of above.
When you go to the supplement store, ask the clerk to submit suggestions. There are many sleep formulations that work.
I nick a product called Sound Sleep from SuperSupplements.
Don't chomp through late - try to guzzle no later than 6 rather.
Avoid caffiene as early as possible during the light of day.
Avoid alcohol & smoking too close to bedtime.
Exercise in the morning or impulsive afternoon.
For some people (like me) working out behind time in the afternoon or early evening can get you too "pumped up" to sleep.
Has she tried exercise? Exercise released endorphins, the chemical in your brain that make you feel really fitting. From what you say, she may be depressed, which is cause her lack of sleep. If so, exercise will back. It will also help next to stress related insomnia.
