Mental lapse and the tenet?

my freind over the past couple of years have had most important problems at times blacking out but he is still functioning talking and going own next to various things and next comes out of it and has no perception of anything said or done during that time now he is human being accused of stealing money from his livelihood what can he do will he get full penal complex time or what he is also seekind sychiatrick help as powerfullyMental lapse and the tenet?
He needs to carry a lawyer. He probably requirements the psychiatric help also. Whether or not he get jail time will depend on a little factors, such as, how much money be involved, and whether or not he's guilty... also, much will depend on what his lawyer and his psychiatrist can come up beside.
